Guest not allowed
« on: May 25, 2012, 11:10:16 pm »
I am trying to make sure guests are not able to see certain topics on our board.
Even though I changed those rights, this is still happening.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you logout can you see the topics/boards as a guest?

I understand that. There are some threads we use that have client info on them and I need to block guests from seeing this. I tried to set it so only certain boards can be see as a guest. I gave permissions to General chit chat and some other simple things, but if they click on recent posts, and it is a client sensitive page, they have ful view.

More specifically, here is the scenario. After signing out of the forum, from the home page, click forum. At the bottom under Forum Stats there is a
link, "view the most recent posts on the forum." From there, I can browse through freely.

[/size]This is what I was hoping to stop guests from being able to do. This leaves our clients open to potentially having their addresses and or phone numbers taken. What can be done to help alleviate this from happening?

I tested this situation myself and posts in a certain board where guests weren't allowed couldn't be seen anywhere. You did click on the modify boards link and unchecked the Guests checkbox?
All codes I make are tested on the latest version of Google Chrome and upon request of other browsers.
