Google verification file

Dear Sir,

I tried to submit my forum url to Google search engine, They gave me a html file to upload to my forum for verification. I do not know where to to upload or paste it to get verified.

I pasted the Html code in the Admin, style manager, ......Header, Footer and Meta tag section, but verification always fails.

please help me understand

You would need to use the meta tag option
And place in metea tags section

When I did mine I copied the code they supplied which is like below
<meta name="google-site-verification" content="Your code from google" />
I didn't need to do anything else other than past it into the Meta Tags: - Inside <head> tag Box

Dear Sir,

I did exactly as Mickjav said, I pasted the code like this.....<meta name="google-site-verification" content="google-site-verification: googlee173c543dd21cdd5.html " />  in the header as well as in Meta tag section of style manager ( Header and Footer section). You can check in the page source of my forum  " https://fengshuihope.createaforum.com " it is there, but the verification fail and it say......

Ownership verification failed
Verification method:
HTML file
Failure reason:
Your verification file was not found in the required location.

This is were it is failing google-site-verification: googlee173c543dd21cdd5.html it should be like 173c543dd21cdd5
There are two options when you create a console use the other not the option for a html page.
