Domain ending with .ca
« on: January 03, 2016, 06:55:54 pm »

Hi, I am trying to set up my domain name for my forum. The domain is nalah.ca and I'm having some issues with the nameservers.
I have contacted GoDaddy and they advised me that I need TWO different IP addresses for the nameservers, and createaforum admin page only provides me with ONE.

Is it possible for you to provide me with a 2nd IP address for the nameserver? If not, my domain will not work :(

Please let me know!
Thanks
Note: I replied to the domain set up guide, but it is a 3 year old topic with no replies so I was worried that nobody would see it.

With godaddy the ending of the domain doesn't matter you will need to add host records. There is only one ip for createaforum.

If you can't get that to work you can do a DNS A record and point to 184.171.171.98

I had already added the DNS records but GoDaddy will still not accept the nameservers when I add them, and customer service is telling me that because it ends with .ca I need two seperate IP addresses for the nameservers.

So there is nothing you can do to help with this? :(

Nothing I can do. We only have one ip. Customer service is wrong. All my domains are at godaddy I do this all the time. That's why I have the godaddy guide.

If not you can go the DNS A record route instead.

I did add the DNS already, as I said.. but it still won't work. :/

I'll contact GoDaddy again and see what I can figure out.
