Changed my user name and now can't log back in.

Hey guys,
 
So I changed my user name and now seem to be unable to log back in. The login recognizes that the new user name exists but won't accept my password. I've tried doing the password recovery but it won't accept the answer to my security question (And yes, I'm answering it correctly) and when I try to do a reset, I never receive the e-mail. I've also tried logging in using my e-mail address instead of the user name but still no luck. Any thoughts?

Under Account Related Settings did you change your Username or your Display Name?   It makes a difference.
If you changed your Display Name then you still login using your original User Name and Password.
If you changed your User name the forum resets your password and emails you the new password.  You of course have to be able to receive that email.     Check your spam/junk mail settings and folders for your email account and see if the email is being sent to a spam or junk folder.

I changed my user name so I should have received an e-mail about the password reset but did not. I've disabled my junk filter but considering that there's nothing in the junk folder and I seem to be receiving all other CreateAForum-related e-mails, the filter doesn't seem to be responsible.

If you've changed your nick name, so you can't login with the nick you changed. You've to use the nick you registered with. Like My nick with which i registered is MaDKiLLeR but i change it to Dr.Death so when i'll login, i'll Use my nickMaDKiLLeR to login but when i'm logged in, it will show my nick Dr.Death. Hope that helped.

Admin username change caused a bit of a glitch for me it resulted in the following error: Invalid character used in Username." By adding an ' to the username

And now I cannot log back in to finish building the site.Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I tried logging in with the original account info and the new account info from the email sent to me with no luck. I changed the login credentials as well as the username.

I have also tried the Fix CP in the email sent when I first started the forum set up
