Best directions to give members for uploading their photos

Sorry, I searched and could not find this. I allow members to access the gallery tab.  However I am wondering if it is still best to direct members to use the "Insert Image" icon for loading a picture to a Post versus using the gallery.Thank you,

It depends on what your goals are? Are they to organize images in a gallery? Or keep pictures in posts?
