"Session has ended" message
« on: March 24, 2012, 05:28:33 am »
One of my forum members has not been able to post in the forum.   It is a locked forum and she can get in and read the board however she can not post a message.   She gets a message which says ' sessions has ended' or session has timed out.   I have checked everything I can think of to check.   Any ideas?    Your help is appreciated.
Cheers Liz.

She doesn't have the proper permissions to view that board. Check the permissions for that board under Admin -> Permissions.

It looks like there are 2 separate issues. One is a permission problem and one is that she is taking too long to type and her session is expiring while she is typing. To fix the session problem go to Admin -> Forum Settings -> Cookies and Sessions

Find where it says Default login cookies length (in minutes) and Seconds before an unused session timeout and change the numbers in the textbox to something larger.
