Create Passwords to access a certain child board ?
« on: August 31, 2011, 03:07:53 pm »
Hello,

Is it possible to create passwords for a certain child board, so that only the people knowing the password can access the child board/board ? If so, How ?

Thanks in advance...

This could be done by code, however, if one were to pit that code onto their forum, anyone could find the password by looking at your page source. It would be much safer to put these members into a separate membergroup and give only that membergroup access to the board.

Actually, if you were to host the code somewhere, then it'll be harder to find the password since you're telling your forum to just load a certain page with the code on it.
All codes I make are tested on the latest version of Google Chrome and upon request of other browsers.
