You can do in ezportal  a custom menu block and have each link with permissions based on a membergroup

I do that with EZPortal with my CV Look at the very bottom of my Homepage at the link for My Cv

I have to say i have no idea how you are linking a single word in a sentence.

I used to run a massive site back in the early 2000's but having to remember al lot of stuff as it is now mostly css when back in my day it was HTML Lol
Addding a word in a sentance is easy when you know how lol

If you run your curser over most of my links each should popup a mesaage that's the Title part
Ps Edit if you want a new line in your popup comment start it on a new line simple as that.
