Can I use this Style on this Board?!
« on: May 12, 2022, 10:55:45 pm »
Hi, I really like the style of this board, or website!  I would like to use it on my sites.

Does it have a name, and is it on the list I have for my sites?  I have 3 sites.

I would want to customize it eventually, although sooner rather than later.

The following are modifications I would want to make:
  • Mouse over highlight on Menu Row.
  • Put a photo across the top, similar to YouTube's design.
  • Have a bit more rounded corners on frame blocks.
  • Customize the colors
I also really like the default font on this site!  What is it?  It looks like Googles "Varela Round."  This is my favorite font!

Oh yea, I changed my editing options on one of my boards, but would like to change it back to the one that is here.  I lost track of how & where to change it back.  Please help...

Thank You.  I hope I haven't asked too many questions here.  Grateful for assistance!

Yes, you can

Admin -> Layout Settings -> Manage and Install
Use CAF 2.0 theme
Then use the overall forum default and reset everyone to

Thank You.

  • How do I remove the "Ad Free Credits: Unlimited" and "Order Upgrades" from the top of my site?
  • How do I switch back to the Editing buttons and format just above here.
  • How hard is it to customize the colors of headers & boxes, etc?
  • I have more questions, but must come back to ask them...
Thanks again...

There isn't a direct way at the moment. Maybe via a creative javascript code but i wouldn't know how off the top of my head
Only admins can see that.

I've already checked this line on one of my sites, and they're still there.  What happened?!

Uploading and Using Photo Gallery
« Reply #9 on: June 20, 2022, 11:21:05 pm »
I have not even begun to figure out how to use photos & galleries on my 3 sites.
How can I figure out, or learn to use my photos & galleries?
Also, can I upload PDF documents, and link them in my forums?

What questions do you have on the gallery system?

PDF Files can be uploaded via attachments or the downloads system addon.

What's the basic process for adding a photo to a comment section?  It seems like there are more steps involved than just clicking the "add photo" icon and uploading a photo.

I also think I will need to give approval in order to control what images are uploaded to the gallery.

Also, I can add any basic content (ie. pdf, jpg, png, etc.) as an attachment, right?!  It just won't show inside the comment, right?!  And, is there an uploaded document gallery?  Do people need to understand whatever they/we upload will be available to everyone.  Can I/we set access to photos and uploaded documents like member access to forums?!

Thanks.

What do you mean by a comment section? Forum Posts? If so that is just adding an attachment.

For gallery you can control membergroups by permissions for approval to upload. You can have membergroups that require approval while others don't . Found under Admin -> Permissions   Then modify the membergroup and find the gallery permissions.

Only images and video files can be added to the gallery system. Such as jpg, png, gif, avi, wmv, mpg
The download system supports any file types, otherwise you can also upload files as attachments
