Website Embed version
« on: February 10, 2013, 05:48:00 pm »
Please consider making a version of the Createaforum in which you can embed into a pre existing website.  There is a huge need of (quality forums) in which you can embed into a website.  This would be something worth paying for to alot of people with websites, code easily worth paying for imo.   thanks

Can't you do this with an iframe and just point the iframe to your createaforum forum?

You can yes, but it is nearly impossible to get a clean seamless look across all the browsers.  The scroll bars are hard to hide even with the correct  attributes.   Its hard to make it work right.  Please do an embed version, if cost is an issue I might be willing to invest in the code development of the embed with you,  not joking either.  thanks.

The only way that I can think of that will work across all browsers is using php to get the webpage and then have javascript find the height of the webpage then set the height of the iframe to that value. However that's probably a crappy way to do it ._.
All codes I make are tested on the latest version of Google Chrome and upon request of other browsers.

I wish I knew how to try that.   Besides iframes not looking good, a website gets no seo credit for any of the content inside the frame.  There are several embedable forums out there but all are so generic looking.  Theres a good gap to fill for a hungry developer for sure.
