Thanks button
« on: August 14, 2012, 04:14:40 am »
Well under every post on the left side, there should be a button that says "Thanks  ".  Whenever a user clicks it under a post, there name displays to show they thanked the post. Example:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

And the user can't "Thank" its own post.

Nothing like the "Karma" setting. Comment is you don't understand. This would be a good feature.

No. You can't decide for all of us. Some of us feel the Karma should remain.
'thank', 'favorite', 'like', etc...all different forms of the same thing, and these have already been suggested in other threads.

Decide? I know for a fact that it's nothing like karma. Karma doesn't display a button under a post and when someone clicks it there username shows up, now does it? And if you can't contribute with the topic but talking bad about it and telling me it's been requested before, then don't post in my threads.

No telling bad, only saying it's already been requested, why create a new thread?
For CAF to remove the Karma, he should be sure we all do not like it. I have no problems with the karma setting. In my forum, we rarely use the Karma, members prefer saying 'thank you for your reply..' so the thank or favorite or like feature may be suitable for my forums, but some admins here might prefer the Karma, they might not be happy if its removed

You can purchase a forum upgrade for SMF, just not sure if it works with CAF as you can't edit the code, but it does put a "Like" button after each post:

http://www.smfpacks.com/likes

Never used it, but have seen it and it seems to work okay having seen it on other SMF forums.

You can't install mods
All codes I make are tested on the latest version of Google Chrome and upon request of other browsers.
