Some sort of forum feed
« on: December 12, 2012, 04:47:47 pm »
Just had an idea, so thought I'd suggest it  ;D

Basically, there's like a widget which updates live, and displays everything that's been going on.

For example, someone posts a reply or makes a new thread.. It appears in the feed as "User created a thread in ____" with links to it, of course.

Someone posts a photo in the gallery, it appears in the feed too, with a link to it.

A member alters something on their profile, all members can know via this activity feed. New members joining could also pop up in there.

So, just a suggestion, thought it would be quite cool to have a widget (ezBlock?) where you could be in-the-know of everything at once... The question is, is it possible? :o  is there already a code I can manually add to create one? I have seen it done on other, non SMS forums... So it's not impossible  ;)

Thanks  :)

Unfortunately that would be too resource intensive would make forums slower since multiple people could have the forums open.
