When you create a topic under additional options there is a make a topic sticky option.

Or if you are inside a topic.

At the bottom above quick reply. Click on Set Topic Sticky

Thanks!
I found that if I simply  click on 'modify' I can make it a sticky post from there, which automatically sent it to the top of the forum, exactly where I wanted it.
Again, thanks!

I had already made the forum the the topic in which I wished to make sticky, a 'read only' forum, and so, to make the topic sticky would be a redundant action.
I was up way too late, building this site... is my excuse.  ;)

This is just a heads up note: (no need to reply)
These are points of interest that I'd like to see modified on my message board.
In addition to preventing 'private' posting's thread title information from showing in the stats section, I'd also like to remove that aspect in programing which shows any Admin editing in the footer of all posts modified.
I'm expecting my SSI benefits to come through anytime now, as I have a bad enough heart condition to warrant such, by law.
In due time.

(there may be more mods I'd like to see, and I'll be sure to post them ahead of time for your consideration.)

For the posting option you can turn that off under Admin -> Layout Settings
uncheck "Show last modification date on modified posts: "

Tank-you thank-you THANK-YOU!
When someone sees a modified posts--days after it was posted... well, you get the picture.
I'm one of those who, regardless of the time spent editing, before I post a topic/post, I'll always find that mistake, either shortly after posting it, or days later.
Again, thank you!

I have some friend whom are  mathematicians, and so, I am wondering if would be possible have a feature within the posting field that gave them all the math-notations they could ever want. Something akin to selecting emoticons. There's already super and sub script, so why not the rest of that ball of wax?
Thank you for the fine job you've done... I don't mean to seem patronizing... but WOW!

See attachment for a probability of a set of math symbols. I'll get this pinned-down by those whom actually use these symbols, but for now, you may ponder the possibilities.
Google 'math symbols' to get a good idea of what may come, regards this request.
Cheers!

I was thinking along the lines of emoticons, but after some thought, it would be better to have such accessible as a 'font style'.
I had a Microsoft word program that had something of the like that was easy to select via a function key.
I'll look around an see what I can find.
Thanks for your time and consideration of this idea.

A query: what would it take to install a button with which I can assign members to their membergroups, with a single click on a button that is located between Admin and moderator buttons on the Admin page?
Mornings are the worst for me... I've already assigned two members to their membergroup, but I can't for the life of me remember how I did it.
It would make things simple for me to not have to wade through menus and instead click on a single button to take me to that function.
Thanks
PS I found a bug: when applauding another member, when a video is playing, the video will stop and reset to the beginning.

Thanks!
I going to make me a 60' X 120' poster in # 48 font size, that shows the membergroupe assignment instructions and post it on a wall where I can read it.  ;) ;D

Truer words were never spoken, practice-practice-practice makes perfect.
I currently have too many irons in the fire, which makes for chaos when efforting to get things done. I have help on the way, hopefully.

It is a pleasure to have met you, and work with you. You have been nothing less than helpful.
Thank you!
