[GUIDE] Recycling Topics

Whenever a topic is deleted it is for a reason. If you ever want to look back on why it was then just follow this guide.


1 ) Admin-> Boards-> Add a board/category (name is something like "trash")

2 ) Admin-> Boards-> Settings-> Enable recycling

3 ) Choose the board or category that you just made and set it as the board to send the recycled topics to.

Awesome. I may do this and create the board so staff + are able to view it.

Yeah, lol that's what I did. There is no need for the normal members to fret (or see for other reasons) because of that board.

Is there a way to count the posts in Recycle Bin to the forum stats ?
I found a small bit of code somewhere on SMF but that didn't work.
So I've employed, both the Recycle Bin & Trash folders. Deleted posts first go into the Recycle Bin. Once we are sure that they are not going to be restored, we move that post/topic into Trash (also hidden from members). That way we can get the posts into the forum totals.
